Sean Sundwall - leadership that listens

SNOQUALMIE, Wash., May 1, 2019 – Two weeks ahead of the official filing period, current Snoqualmie City Councilmember Sean Sundwall announced today he will run for re-election in the upcoming November election to retain Position 6, the seat he currently holds.

Sundwall was appointed to Snoqualmie City Council on April 13, 2017 shortly after the passing of the beloved longtime Councilmember Charles Peterson. By law, Sundwall was required to run in the November 2017 general election to retain that position which he did successfully.

“As a longtime resident and business owner in this wonderful community, I am passionate about keeping Snoqualmie the awesome place it is,” said Sundwall. “During my time on Council I have worked hard to represent all Snoqualmie residents and will continue to do so should I win re-election.”

In 2017, Sundwall campaigned with the slogan “Leadership that Listens” with a focus on transparency and community engagement. Shortly after being named a Councilmember, Sundwall spearheaded the City’s efforts to live stream Council meetings. He has also been integral in the planning and promotion of this year’s quarterly town hall meetings, the second of which will take place May 19th with two others planned in September and December.

“Sundwall has been a real asset to Council and to our city in part because he asks the questions everyone else is thinking,” said Snoqualmie City Mayor, Matt Larson. “Re-electing Sundwall to City Council would go a long way to protecting the tremendous progress our city has made over the last two decades.”
